In die Gaitanes-Schlucht
Berühmt ist der Caminito del Rey (etwa „schmaler Königspfad“), der auch im Naturpark Ardales liegt. Er führt in etwa 100 Meter Höhe an steilen Felswänden entlang durch zwei schmale Schluchten, die bis zu 200 Meter tief sind. Früher galt er als extrem gefährlich, nach einer Instandsetzung ist er wieder geöffnet.
Sehenswert ist die Gaitanes-Schlucht, von der aus zwei spektakuläre Brücken des Caminito del Rey zu sehen sind. Die schmale Straße windet sich durch eine bildschön erodierte Felslandschaft. Bei einem Fotostopp können wir in einiger Entfernung Steinböcke beobachten. Schließlich ist die Schlucht mit den Brücken zu sehen, die auch als El Chorro als Winterklettergebiet bekannt ist.
Into the Gaitanes Gorge
The Caminito del Rey (roughly translated as ‘narrow king’s path’) is famous and is also located in the Ardales Natural Park. It runs along steep rock faces at a height of around 100 metres through two narrow gorges that are up to 200 metres deep. It used to be considered extremely dangerous, but has been reopened after undergoing repairs.
Well worth seeing is the Gaitanes Gorge, offering spectacular views of two bridges on the Caminito del Rey. The narrow road winds its way through a picturesque eroded rock landscape. During a photo stop, we can observe ibexes in the distance. Finally, we can see the gorge with the bridges, also known as El Chorro, a popular winter climbing area.
